Centering Prayer participants meet Monday at 1:30 pm in the Olde Rectory for two 20-minute silent times with God, divided by a few minutes of silent walking. This is followed by lectio divina (holy reading); after contemplation and brief discussion, we conclude with some time of fellowship.

All women of the church are invited to gather once every quarter, at 12:30 PM for a luncheon and program.  The gatherings open with devotions.  The programs concern local and outreach topics, provide book reviews and current issues of interest.   They provide many services to the vestry and membership of the church.

One simple thing will make a big difference in the life of an at-risk child: One-on-one, positive attention from a responsible, caring adult.   Kids Hope USA develops these one-on-one relationships through the creation of church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relationships.

Kids Hope USA mentors spend just one hour per week, reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. By helping the child feel loved and valued, they help that child to learn, grow and succeed.

You can change a life…and that’s no small change.

Members of Christ Church and ECW help with the delivery of meals to those in need through the Meals on Wheels program.

Christian Education at Christ Episcopal Church is on-going and includes Sunday School for preschool through grade 6 children. The Sunday School classes meet each Sunday morning at 10:00 AM for instruction and then join the congregation for Holy Eucharist. The children join the priest the third Sunday of each month for a children’s sermon.

The purpose of this group is to foster Christian Education, social and religious interaction during the school year for students in 6th through 12 grades. The Youth Group is in charge of the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner. Thunderhead Episcopal Church Camp is offered during the summer.

Our Spiritual Journey is not like most trips. There is not a set starting point, designated route and predetermined destination. Rather, the spiritual Journey is about broadening our image of God, about 'becoming' rather than being, about asking questions, about always moving forward toward the heart of God. The labyrinth, the symbol of the heart of God, is also the symbol for the Journey. The labyrinth is not a maze but a path along which we travel in search of an understanding of life and faith."

Christ Church and ECW support Sack Pack, which provides weekend meals for children in need, through donations and help with packing.
